The Gloom is Back!

Holy crap...we have 26 people here...we better move this show over to the tennis courts so we can get some distance and control the madness.


Waiver and Reminder delivered....Let's make today great. It might suck but we're all leaving here better for it.


Get your good mornings and stretching in while I set up the audio.

Baba O'Riley because it's just been too long. Adjust and do Imperial Squat Walkers - 5 minutes of glorious burn.


Thang 1

Line up on opposite sides of the tennis courts - stay in 2 groups - keep your distance. This is your group for the morning.


10 Balls to the Wall (feet on fence shoulder presses) - 10 merkins, Alligator Merkin the length of the court to the net, do 10 merkins, then burpee broad jump back. Wall sits while catching butterflies while we wait.


Rinse and repeat - the real kind, not the Tuna kind. The kind where we actually do the same thing again.

Mosey to the track


Group A - on the track - run quick laps - we're doing 10 burpees on the minute for 10 minutes. Math says that is 100 burpees and a little bit of cardio! Shoutout to Delorean for managing the timer for the second group.


Group B - on the hill - break into two smaller groups (social distancing at its finest) one at the top of the hill and one at the bottom. Two lanes on the hill with the right side going up and the left for going down (safety first). Do 50 squats, politician up the hill, 25 Big Boy Situps, bear crawl down the hill. AMRAP for 10 minutes.


After 10 minutes the groups switch.


Then it happened...the ultimate knockout. I would love to take credit for inventing this, but only one man deserves that attention, TopSpin. There is only one way out of the pit. Crawl bear out, every 3 "steps" do 3 merkins. All the way up the hill. The carnage was evident, men were pushing themselves!


Back to the tennis courts for CoT and NameORama. Luckily, the men were willing to accommodate one hell of a post party and we stuck around for a Wilson led Captain Thor! It's kind of my thing, but I chose the knockout over the Thor. Glad you guys were willing to stick around a little longer, now my day is made, it was officially a Shoota Q!


Moleskin: I can't thank you guys enough for coming out today. I missed each and every one of you. I missed the gloom, the camaraderie, the laughs and the hard core exercise! I saw faces I haven't seen in awhile and it made me smile. We have an amazing group of men, and I am humbled that on occasion you allow me to lead. Keep showing up, keep pushing yourself, and never stop competing with the man next to you. We're all better for it!
