Promises were made regarding the need to break in the new tennis courts. As we arrived at the courts the smell of fresh paint, hopes and dreams simmered in the cool morning air. A slight tinge to the nostrils that equated to the new car smell, I delighted in knowing we were about to cover the court in hard earned sweat.
First up, suicides, adequately renamed Agassi's for our tennis court adventures. Shout out to Billie Jean for educating all of us on the proper names of the lines on a court. Our new facility has 4 full courts, instead of the two that our old courts allowed us. The fence in the middle of the old courts really hampered our ability to get in the cardio! Thanks for the City of Franklin and our tax dollars for enhancing the workout opportunities at the Jimmy.
Anyhow, Agassi's to the far doubles line on court #1 and back, far doubles line on Court #2 and back, continue through all 4 courts. Rinse and repeat.
Next up, balls to the wall shoulder presses. Feet on the fence as high as you can get them and complete 10 shoulder presses. Then 8, 6, 4, 2. Sighs of relief were being heard as we wrapped up...only to be shattered when Q screams back up...4, 6, 8, 10.
Another Agassi. Same structure.
Next up a revised Agassi. This time bear crawl to serve line, crab walk back. Bear Crawl to far doubles line, crab walk back. Bear crawl to court #2 doubles line, crab walk back. Rinse and repeat again.
Circle up. Back in the day we used to have laney lou on the tennis courts nearly every Jimmy workout. Let's bring it back! PAX get in high plank. PAX #1 completes 10 merkins, then Pax #2, pax #3 and so on. Other pax hold high plank the entire time.
Round 2 - this time 5 diamond merkins while PAX hold low plank the entire time.
Recover for.....Burpee Apocalypse. 10, 9, 8, 7....down to 1.
It's a Shoota Q so you know how it ends. Captain Thors. 1 situp : 4 american hammers. Keep that ratio; 2:8, 3:12 all the way up to 10:40. That's a wrap.

Always a pleasure to lead you fine men. I've been away for a bit so it was great to be back, feeling better. I appreciate all of the prayers you've given and all that you have coming. More importantly, let's keep the prayers rolling in for Chris (Spicoli) and Nicholas (Dr. Claw) as they both need them. What I love about F3 Franklin is that its more of a family than anything I've ever experienced. I am humbled every time we come together by the fitness level of all you beasts, but more-so I am grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of something something so meaningful to so many. Keep lifting one another up and holding each other accountable. If you notice someone is down, help lift them up. If you notice someone is missing a few workouts in a row, text them and check in. There are a ton of places guys can go to workout and exercise, but we have an obligation to be so much more than that...because family always goes one step further for each other.
