AO: Firepit
14 Pax: Waterboy (Pre-Party), Curds, Braddock, DeLorean, Oregan Trail, Tuna, Foosball, Shocker, Macaroni, Bartman, Wilson, Lump, The Hackface, Dukey (QiC)
Cruised in this morning to a group of F3 - Ruckers hitting the pre-party hard, the sweat was flowing freely. Pax rolled in to a toasty 27 degree morning to warm up at the Firepit, ready for a little post birthday beating...we exchange pleasantries, fist bumps, etc...time to circle them up for some warm-o-rama...
Warm-o-rama:
41 Side Straddle Hops IC, 10 Forward Arm Circles (Small to Large) followed by 10 Backward Arm Circles IC; we hit our stride with some Willie Mays Hayes' ("You may run like Mays, but you hit like $h**"), followed by some runners pose, and last but certainly not least 5 Good Mornings (gotta love that stretch)...
The Thang:
Let's mosey...An energetic PAX cruised the mean streets of Westhaven, on their way to Macaroni Hill, only to stop mid-stride for some reverse merkins 10...I mean 20. Avoiding Ms. Jone's call to the po po for the gyrating men in her front yard, the pax moved toward the dome that awaited them off Championship Boulevard. Pairing off, we CLIMBED!
Round 1: Partner #1 stayed home and Climbed the Mountain (knees to elbows), while Partner #2 had their way with the Politicians up the Mac.
Round 2: Partner #1 realized how much lactic acid could build in their shoulder as they knocked out Overhead Clap Side Straddle Hops, while Partner #2 SLOWLY lunged their way to the top of the Mac.
Round 3: Partner #1 completed Slow Ass Merkins to failure, while Partner #2 Bear Crawled the top of the Mac.
Let's mosey back to the flag for 6 minutes of Mary. After a .5 mile Indian Run back we circled up and hit the core pretty hard: Little Baby Crunches 41x, Dying Cockroaches 41x, Leg Extensions with a hold (6" off the ground), American hammers 41x (tip of the hat to an absent Shoota).
Count-o-rama,
Name-o-rama,
Ball-of-man....We Gone
Moleskin:
What do I say, 4-5 days a week guys go to bed early, so that they can peel themselves out of bed at ridiculous hours, to run around in below freezing weather in the name of fitness. This group is so much more than a group of workout buddies. I'm amazed every time I pull up to an AO, and realized what a cool experience I'm about to have. This F3 movement is special, and I'm proud to be a part of such an outstanding group of guys. We come together for fitness, we stay together for fellowship, but we return for faith; faith in God, faith in our community, and faith in each other. Steel sharpens steel, and one friend sharpens another.
Cheers,
Dukey
