No comfort in the growth zone...

We had 5 total for the pre pre this morning with varying levels of excitement... Lump was so excited to be back coupled with Hoser's bear crawls not working. We Mosey'd and people starting trying to claim that there Mosey was broken as well... Not gonna let that happen. We pushed and ran with ruck and did a variety of speed bumps along the way. Squats, lunges, bear crawl, irkins, dirkins, dips, pull ups and get ups... Well done and way to come out early for a little extra credit.


At 50 degrees this morning and Fall Break I was nervous on turnout, but glad to see the PAX pulling in with a total of 16 HIM's ready to push today.

The Thang


- Bataan Death March around ball field. Indian run while last Pax drops and does two burpees and sprints to front of line and tagging last guy on way up and rinse and repeat until we get to the opposite field parking lot.


- We partnered up for no good reason in parking lot to bear crawl, meet in middle and 10 Merks, crawl bear back and repeat minus one each time down to 5 merks. Big Boys until the six is in.


- Double line Bataan Death March to increase burpee and sprint frequency all the way around ball fields, basketball court and down to the mini loop.


- 4x4’s x10

(Burpee into 4 merks and 4 mountain climbers and jump up is 1)


- Full sprint x 2 of mini loop. Catch your breath and transition into Canary hopping the front straightaway. After seeing Canary at the campout I was reminded of how much I hated that exercise so we had to do it. Mac was pushing on that one and passed me. That pushed me to do better. Way to push men.


- Lunge to ledges and 10 irks and dirks

- Bear crawl the back straightaway - I think Hackface was done before I got started.

- Bridge ledge for 10 more irks and dirks

- Crawl bear up the hill.

- Mosey around the ball fields parking lot back to where we partnered up earlier for no good reason.

- Grab some fence. Balls to walls with shoulder press x10

- Donkey kicks x 10

- Mosey back to warm up location for a fan favorite. Captain Therkins. Captain Thor’s with 5 merks between sets... 1:4:5 2:8:5 up to 10:40:5...

Prayers for Hoser’s father in law Ted, Shockers friends, the Gardner family, and Braddock’s passing of his dear friend Ed and his family that remains to figure out what’s next.


I am CONSTANTLY reminded to be present and enjoy it all. Especially when you aren't dealing with cancers and loss, issues etc. Be there for one another, love your neighbor, be patient and enjoy your families.

There are many good and not so good things going on with all of us. That's just how life is. Highs, lows, middles....

Be grateful, be present and don’t miss moments. Life is great but it is short and riddled with challenge. None of us know how long we will be here. None of us... I’m not saying cast responsibility to the wind, but don’t let the hustle shade your shine. It was a joy to lead you men today. Keep pushing. There is no comfort in the growth zone. ;)
