Pre-Party - Waterboy, HackFace and Jorts took off running. Stirrups, House Arrest and Shoota took off rucking.
WarmORama - SSHs, BACs, Back BACs, Slow Ass Merkins, WMHs and GMs. Not many of each, we have work to do.
Mosey towards pit with track - bear crawl down hill and spring back up hill - rinse and repeat a few times.
Thang 1 in the pit
A) 10 burpees on the minute for ten minutes while running laps around the creek on the "track". That means 22 people should be on the board for the Burpee Challenge, make sure you log it today.
B) Politician up the hill and sprint down - rinse and repeat a few times.
C) Only one way out of the pit - crawl bear up the hill, every 3 "steps" do 3 merkins.
D) Once the group was at the top of the pit - complete a mucho chesto with 10 reps of each exercise - merkins, werkins, diamonds, staggered right and left. Then mosey to basketball court.
Thang 2 on the basketball court
A) Bear crawl suicides - bear crawl to free throw line, crawl bear back. Rinse and repeat.
B) Merkin ladder suicides - 10 merkins and run a half court suicide (sprint to free throw line, back to baseline, sprint to half court line, back to base line). Then 9 merkins, sprint, 8, sprint....all the way down to 1, sprint. Squats while we wait.
C) Circle up - Bear Crawl Ring of Fire - Massive circle, bear crawl until Q said stop, 10 merkins, bear crawl until stop, 10 werkins....completed another mucho chesto and an entire circle. Pax believed we were done....not yet! Keep going. Stop and do 20 squats, keep going, 20 jump tucks, keep going. Stop
Mary - Captain Thors all the way up to 10:40....had 20 seconds left so gave everyone a good morning.
Moleskin - Leadership has set forth a burpee challenge. I reminded everyone that our disclaimer applies all the time, push yourself but don't hurt yourself. Burpees can be tough on your body. The point of the challenge isn't to wreck your body, but instead to find a routine that sets the tone for your day. A constant reminder that self improvement never stops, there is no finish line. We're only as good as the work we're putting in every day. Create a routine of behavior that fits your life and reminds you to challenge yourself and accelerate. That's the mission of the burpee challenge, not to crush your body. Remember that.
I reminded everyone to reach out to one another. What goes on behind closed doors can haunt many men's souls. F3 Franklin isn't just a workout and if any man is standing in our circle believing that is all we are, then we are failing that man. Let's be better, one day at a time.
