Today marked the start of Culture Week for F3 Franklin and 11 pax assembled at Minor Complex to kick it off right. I am sure that OT had quite the crew at Battleground as well. For culture week, all former Nant'ans and the current Nant'an Shoota, will be leading the workouts and trying to impart on the pax some of this history of F3Franklin and what F3Franklin has meant to us personally. I am absolutely honored and humbled to participate.
F3Franklin was first planted on January 5th, 2015 at Battleground, our flagship AO. Many of us Franklin area pax were traveling up to Nashville each morning to the various AOs...but that was all changed with Battleground being established. We quickly added Armada as the Saturday workout....we named it Armada because literally the first workout we did there we pulled an Armada across the parking lot with ropes. Then the Jimmy was added, Firepit, etc...the rest is history. For the first year and a half...we had no formal leadership...it was a much smaller group. Then it was decided in order to become our own region, we needed a Nant'an and a leadership council, if you will.
Thus I was nominated and voted as the first Nant'an of F3Franklin from late 2016 to 2018. Little bit about myself...moved here in 2014 not knowing a soul. Moved from Charlotte, NC where F3 was started. Right before I moved, an F3 pax there told me they were planting here and I should get involved. I did not do so immediately, but finally caved and my first post was 1/3/2015 at Stonewall in Nashville. Bagger Vance (Sims Hill) partnered with me on a lot of the exercises...I thought I was going to die...but I muscled through with their encouragement. Was named Bartman because I am Cubs fan and was wearing a Cubs hat. I was and continue to be humbled by that opportunity and this group.
Be sure to post as much as you can this week to see some of the older Nant'ans and hear their stories. I'll share more throughout the week...OK...time for the Minor Complx beatdown...

Again, I am truly honored to be able to lead this group. I am grateful to have seen all of the leadership by everyman who has participated in F3.
Soak up this week. Let this week fuel you and remind you of why we do this.
As I mentioned, we all have our peaks and valleys...but one thing that remains consistent...F3. It will be here to kick our butts but lift us up.
