Date: Feb 5, 2021
AO: Firepit
QiC: Shoota
20 PAX: Delorean, ClickBait, Braddock, Noodle, HackFace, Whoopi, Wilson, Sanctions, Lump, Pre K, OT, Noble Virus, Vespa, Loaf, Scud Row, Jorts, Stirrups, Waterboy and Wizard.
Pre-Parties - plural, that's right! Our pre-partying game has really elevated itself in 2021. We had two separate groups pushing hard. One running party covered 3.6 miles and then completed 50 pullups. The other group did a strength training circuit that I know included some pullups but not sure what else. Way to get up and push early men!
Theme for the day: Cut down on total reps, but make sure you are using "perfect form" every single time. Slowed it down so PAX completed nearly every rep together, as a group, on my call.
WoR: SSHs, BACs, Back BACS, WMHs, GMs and Slow Ass Merkins.
Mosey to hallway #1 - wall sits laney lou style as each pax counts to 10. Stopped about every 5th person and completed one exercise of much chesto. By the time we were done we had wall sat for 200 seconds and completed every rep of the mucho chesto.
Mosey to hallway #2 - Donkey kicks and squats next. Balls to the Wall mixed in. More merkins and squats. Every rep accounted for.
Mosey to big parking lot - Animal Q - Frog leap to other side of lot and Bear Crawl back. Crab walk to other side of lot and duck walk back. Apparently, Duck Walk is not a fan favorite. Lots of physical therapists in our group this morning. At this point I had to oblige Hoser and gave the group some Alligator Merkins. Again, perfect form, less reps so we only went halfway, but every man finished.
Mosey to playground - team up - one partner completes 50 pullups while other partner crawl bears length of basketball court and crawl bears back. Rotate and complete both exercises.
Mary: Captain Thors up to 9:36 - slow and together. Finished off our theme of the day.
Moleskin: I appreciate everyone's willingness to slow it down and get it right. We often rush through the exercises and just go through the half motions, I'm as guilt as anybody. We cut reps and just try to keep up. Today's purpose was to show that quality form can trump number of reps every single time. Keep accelerating men!
