27 Pax: Water Boy(Pre-Party), Oregan Trail, Tuna, Macaroni, Shocker, Dukey, Shoota, Atari (FNG), Yoda, Delorean, Click Bait, Shania, Braddock, Chunk, Ballz, Licker, Lump, House Arrest, Banana Boat, Hoser, Nobel Virus, Maytag, Nickel Back, 3 Putt, Import and Wilson (Q of note)

Got there early, because why the heck not. Headlights illuminated the pre-party shenanigans going on the playground and low and behold Braddock and House Arrest are strolling in from an early run. I'm always impressed to see these HIM's finding ways to better themselves even before they meet up with the main group. I expected for a January morning of a brisk 36 degrees, to see somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-16 warm bodies to step up and work, but the cars keep rolling in. 27..... that's right, 27 showed up, time to modify the workout, because I sure wasn't expecting this. Circled up for the Warm-O Rama (circle is pretty tight these days as the temperature is miserable), and who is that coming in hot...., maybe Dr. Claw..... . Nope, it's our Nantaan, not early, but definitely not late.


Warm-o-rama:

Side Straddle Hops IC, Willie Mays Hayes, Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Slow ass squats and Seal jacks because they look so damn funny.



The Thang:

Let’s get a Mosey going and in honor of The Hackface, get 5 burpees at every entrance to the baseball fields. Mosey some more and would you believe, that hill is still there. Time for more shoe-horned themes to my Q's. The new year is 2020, so lets get (20) politicians up and (20) Bear Crawls down. Start the grind and notice that this is not going as fast as I had anticipated. Modify as necessary and that is what I did. 10 is the new 20 and we called it (not before Delorean said words from the "bunny slope" that are rarely heard. "We can't hear you Wilson"). Mosey to the Baseball fields on the other side of the Jimmy and setup a Dora for the masses. (100) single leg squats (each leg), (200) Irkins and (100), with your partner running the length of 2 baseball fields. Off to the parking lot when we are done for some curb island fun. Plank position with hands on the curb and move to the right when directed. Q yells down and we get (5) Merkins, begin again and down for (5) Split Merkins. Up again and (5) more on the other side. Rest and repeat going left. Worked so good let's get one more with (5) Derkins instead of the standard. Mosey back to the house, but a hill required some lunges along the way. Back in the circle and I thought some abs should round out the day, so I threw it to Maytag for a suggestion first. Apparently he thought we needed more burpees, well Maytag knows what we need. Lets get (10) burpees. Off to Banana Boat and after he critiqued our poor form he had us get some split lunge, twist move that is apparently a ab workout. At this point the natives are getting restless, as they want to get on their "six" and get some abs. Clickbait, hears you loud and clear. Unfortunately, he also thought we should get 3 count leg lifts for a total of (50). Well that happened. Asked our man Yoda to close us out with some Yoga stretches and we finished with some peace.

Again, this group gets me excited to lead. It's an honor to step up and I'm grateful for the chance to do so.
